Areas we cover.
Care across the BH postcodes and the wider Dorset area, from our office in Wimborne.
Bournemouth
Bournemouth is the largest town we cover, and the biggest part of our day-to-day rota. From the Wimborne office it is a 15-minute drive down the A341 or the Wessex Way, depending on traffic, which means our carers can comfortably do morning calls in Talbot Woods, lunchtime visits in Westbourne, and afternoon calls down in Southbourne without losing time on the road. We have clients across most of the BH1 to BH11 postcodes, with Royal Bournemouth Hospital sitting at the centre of much of our discharge work.
Broadstone
Broadstone sits between Wimborne and Poole, around 10 minutes south of our office along the A349. It is a quieter, more residential pocket with a noticeable older population around the village centre and up Yarrells Hill. We have a regular cluster of clients here, mostly in the bungalows and smaller family homes that line the streets off the Broadway. The proximity to both Poole Hospital and our Wimborne base makes Broadstone an easy area to cover well.
Christchurch
Christchurch is the eastern end of our patch, around 25 minutes from our Wimborne office along the A338 and the bypass. It is the longest of our regular runs, but a real one: we have established clients across Highcliffe, Mudeford, and the older parts of the town near the Priory. Christchurch Hospital and the community teams there are familiar to us, and we plan rotas so that Christchurch carers do their shifts in clusters rather than back-and-forth single visits.
Corfe Mullen
Corfe Mullen is one of our closest villages, around 6 minutes from the Wimborne office along the A31 and the Wareham Road. Although it shares the BH21 postcode with Wimborne, the village has its own distinct character: largely residential, dominated by family bungalows and 1960s and 70s estates, with an older demographic in the streets near the village hall. We cover the whole village comfortably from a single rota cluster.
Ferndown
Ferndown is one of our shortest journeys, around 8 minutes from the Wimborne office along the Ham Lane and the A348. It is a town with a high proportion of older residents, particularly in the bungalows around Heatherlands and the streets behind Penny's Walk, which means a steady demand for everything from companionship to live-in care. We work closely with the GP practices in Ferndown, including Kings Park and the Crescent, on shared clients.
Poole
Poole is a 15-minute run from our Wimborne office down the A349 or the A350. We cover the full sweep, from the larger family homes around Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks to the more compact terraces in Hamworthy and Oakdale. Poole Hospital is a key referral point for our reablement work, and the harbour-side neighbourhoods generate steady demand for live-in and concierge care. We know the road network well enough to plan rotas that do not get stuck on the lifting bridge.
Verwood
Verwood is around 12 minutes north-east of our Wimborne office, up the B3081 through Edmondsham and into the town. It is a town with a high proportion of retirees who moved here from the South East and the home counties, often for the green space and quieter pace. We have a settled cluster of clients here, mostly in the residential streets around the town centre and out toward Three Legged Cross. The Verwood Hub and the local health centre are familiar reference points for our team.
West Moors
West Moors is a 12-minute drive from our Wimborne office, taking the A348 through Ferndown and turning north into the village. It shares the BH22 postcode with Ferndown but feels distinctly different: smaller, more wooded, with a higher proportion of bungalows and a steady population of retired couples. We cover the village from the same team that covers Ferndown, which keeps continuity high and rotas tidy.
Wimborne
Wimborne is home. Our office is on the edge of town, which means our carers are never more than a few minutes from a client. The town itself sits around the Minster, with the Square as its centre and Kingston Lacy a short drive west. We have clients all over BH21, from the tight streets near the Minster to the larger properties around Pamphill and out toward Colehill. Being local matters: our managers know the GPs, the pharmacies, and the shortcuts.
